What is a hammam?
A hammam is a bathing ritual that combines warmth, cleansing and exfoliation. Rather than a quick shower or an everyday body scrub, it is time set aside for a thorough body treatment and relaxation.
Our Moroccan hammam rituals include sauna and steam, a Moroccan black soap cleanse and full-body exfoliation using a traditional Kessa glove. Additional treatments depend on the package you choose.
What happens during your treatment?
Your experience begins with warmth before moving into the cleansing ritual.
Moroccan black soap is applied as part of the cleanse, followed by Kessa exfoliation to remove surface dead skin. If you have never experienced a traditional hammam scrub before, let your therapist know and share any preferences about pressure or comfort.
Some rituals also include a body mask, sugar scrub, hair wash or scalp massage. Each package has its own combination, so check the description when booking.
Is the hammam private?
At HK Hammam, your hammam treatment is private to your booking. You can enjoy your ritual alone or book with your guest.

What should you wear and bring?
